Platonov is one of the first texts of Anton Chekhov who anticipates, through the stories of his protagonist and the society in “precarious balance” that surrounds him, the great themes of his maturity dramas. The show of “Il Mulino di Amleto” stems from the desire to create a short-circuit between Chekhov’s words and the search for an intimate relationship between actors and spectators.
